These bivvy rocks were discovered by Samuel Turner in about 1920. The rocks are located on a tussock terrace above Leader Creek in the Darran Mountains. Two rocks have space for three and two. With a direct view across to Mount Tutoko, this biv is used by climbers heading on up Mounts Tutoko and Madeline.
|A marked track leads up the Tutoko River, eventually giving out on river flats. From the Leader Falls, a well marked track leads up the true left. Route details here http://climbnz.org.nz/nz/si/fiordland/cleddau-river/tutoko-river
