Just 45 minutes to an hour up from Makahu Saddle, Dominie sits in a sheltered bowl overlooking Hawkes Bay. Trials Spur (despite the name) is the easiest route up - Makahu Spur is a lot more exposed and has a short (but steep) scree slope to contend with.
