Heading down the Pourangaki River from the swingbridge to Kelly Knight Hut. This was one of the first of 44 crossings, none of which came above mid-thigh. Would be a great stream-bash in summer, but was rather chilly on the first day of winter. Saw a pair of whio half way down. Took us 4 hours.
