Looking for someone to join mid November/Decemb
Hi all,
I'm looking to head to NZ for around 4 weeks, starting sometime in November and ending around early to mid December.
I have a friend coming for a couple weeks, but then will have some time on my own. Normally I love solo travel, but with the longer treks, I'd want someone with me for safety.
Looking for people interested in joining the popular tracks, particularly:
- Routeburn (prob my first choice)
- Milford
- Maybe Tongariro if I head to the north island at all
Open to other tracks (Kepler/etc) as well, and anyone that would like to explore the rest of the south island as well.
I'm a guy from the USA in my 30's.
if you havent booke the milford already you'll be out of luck, and you will have to book the routeburn asap
you'll probbably have to pay DOC $80 for a helicopter flight on the routeburn to get around avalanche paths
Milford is definitely booked, and there are few limited slots left for Routeburn. I'll look into the avalanche paths. You think I'll need the helicopter in November?
It seems like that's roughly a transition month from spring to summer so was hoping I'd have good weather.
