Two issues fixed

Hi,
I have just sorted out two significant issues:
1) Users logging in and getting stuck in a permanent loop of redirects. This was caused by a recent change to improve performance by removing unnecessary cached user data. However, the login code was checking that this data existed, and getting stuck in a loop.
2) Replying to messages in forums failing. This was caused by subtle changes to the forum. Sorry -- this was not tested properly. There has been a lot to deal with here and it slipped through.
