Paparoa Track

Kia ora all! Just wondering if anyone has done the full Paparoa Track yet. For those oldies on here, you'll probably remember when I first shared the news that there was going to be a track, and then later during the planning stages that they'd made a couple of dumb decisions on hut placement. So would love to hear about anyone's on-ground experience of the whole track. I've done the Croessus many times, and know the area well. But it's the very last Great Walk I have left to do (including the soon-to-be 11th Great Walk, Hump Ridge). So yeah... Hit me up. :)
Yes I've done it and walked most of the ridge lines before the new bits went in. My favourite section is the Paparoa Tops from near Croesus Knob all the way through to where you drop off the escarpment near near Mt Hawera. [Back in NZFS days I used to work with the late Ces Clark whom a hut is named after. We did track work and I also did veg survey work in some of the eastern Paparoas where Ces wasn't involved] It's a good easy walk in nice country! Great access way for me to get off track from and head in to remoter parts.
Thumbs up
