September updates

Today's updates include the following:
* New menu with mobile compatibility, search, hotkeys (hit ? to see them), and touch.
* Trip reports have always been neglected. I want to show them a bit more respect. The first step is to give them a menu item. I have also added menu items for rock bivs and beginners' guides.
* New layout for photographs with just-in-time image generation engine.
* Many bug fixes -- I think all the major issues that were reported have been dealt with. Thanks for your patience!
Known issues:
* Photographs breadcrumb item is broken
* Menu on phone needs some fine tuning.
* Photos are not showing up unless you reload a page in some cases.
I'll be working through the issues before moving on to anything else. Do let me know if you spot any other problems.

Noted issue with profile link.
In regards message formatting, it's probably a race condition. I'll check that out too.

seems the email notification has now changed and while it looks funky isnt really noticieable at all and it isnt obvious that it is an email notification being a little blue dot.
Ooh, yeah. I had a week-old mail in my inbox which I'd not noticed. For me at least, I think the most useful way of addressing this would be if email notifications were available again upon being sent mail via the site.
Mail notifications, agreed on both points. I'll be tackling everything in this thread (and more) on Thursday.
Just a progress report on this. Done:

Not done:
* messages losing formatting
