Bike hire for a one day tramp

Can anyone provide a lead for two of us to access pushbikes for a couple of days in early April 08 from around the Mackenzie country region (MtCook). We're doing Ball Pass in a day and want to stash the bikes near Celmisia Flat on the Tasman so as to finish the leg back to Mt Cook village.
I have searched the net for hire places in Tekapo and Twizel and it is difficult to find much.Nearly everything is set up to take tours over several days.

How does one delete this thread. We completed the Ball Pass trip on Thursday 10/4 going from the campground @ Mt Cook Village via the Hooker valley to the Tasman. No crampons or axes necessary as the Ball glacier has retreated somewhat and is clearly flat enough to walk on. Future summers are also not likely to necessitate the use of tools. We finished in less than 11 hrs including breaks. We deposited a car the day before at the road near to Tasman lake and offered $10 to a tourist couple to take us back to the campsite. All too easy.
