Recommendation f a kids comp bush camp around AKL
Hi all.
I'm new to the forum and new to the tramping community.
I would love to take my 8 year old out to a bush tenting adventure somewhere around Auckland (Hunuas?,Waitakeres?). We're obviously not shy of walking but shouldn't include a massive hike.
Any hints, recommendations are highly appreciated.

a lot of the waitakeres is closed including walks, which limits a lot of access to bush

If you want to go further south Daley’s Clearing Hut in the Waitawheta is a nice spot and was one of the first spots I took my daughter to.
