Also took option 3 and took the 600m climb from kiwi mouth back up to the saddle and out. Great fun | |

A Kaweka classic - gut busting climbs, stunning views over the central plateau, rugged alpine tops. Starting and finishing at the Lakes carpark removes the long, slow climb from Cameron and replaces it with a more abrupt ascent up Kuripapango that takes only an hour.
