I've been tramping for over 30 years. I have mostly been on solo tramps in the last few years. Live in Waikato but prefer the big hills and open spaces in the South Island. Unfortunately I don't get down there as often as I want to. Probably one of the few people here who have walked the Te Araroa (south Island) trail, which I found awesome.
