Tutaekuri hut
A replacement for the old Tutaekuri Junction hut. Recently built in 2008. (the junction hut has been removed) This hut is 15 mins up the Tutaekuri from the junction with the Trent River. It is on the TL, in a clearing created amongst tall beech forest. A nice hut!

1/ Up the Ahaura & Tutaekuri Rivers from Waikiti Station. 4x4 tracks the whole way but often washed out at the river crossings. 2.5 - 3.5 hrs walking at normal river levels. 2/From the Hope River via Hope Pass 3/From the Haupiri & Trent Rivers via Trent Saddle 9+hrs from Elizabeth hut. |
