Wangapeka biv
Kahurangi National Park
[Also known as Little Wanganui Emergency Shelter & Little Wanganui Bivvy]
This biv is situated in the headwaters of the Little Wanganui River on the TL about 2.5km below the saddle. It is in a tiny clearing a few metres down a side track off the Wangapeka track. The biv was very damp and uninviting inside when we had a look at it in June 2009. Some scrub needed cutting back to provide sunlight and air drainage. No doubt it would be more inviting in Summer conditions.
