Honora Thanks for the warm fuzzies! Certainly of glacial origin - gouged out when the glacier rumbled through. It may be one of those drumlin and kettle landscapes but I'm not too sure as it's on such a tiny scale compared with the Stour Basin which is obviously of drumlin and kettle lake origin. "The "giveaway" for many of these, as to their ice block origins, lies in their crenulated outline and their undulating bathymetry".
Yeah, right. Didn't get a chance to test the undulating bathymetry. Perhaps you could go there and see if the bottom of the lake just gets progressively deeper in the middle or not!
I guess that was Kam. I'd forgotten all about her literary background.
