The pot belly stove in the new hut at Upper Travers got a strong workout in the winter of 2004. We spent a lovely couple of days here, with two nice Australian lads (escaping their balmy winter for some kiwi snow). Fantastic weather, just a shame about the sloppy snow making the peaks inaccessible.
