We walked the track in early November 2017. It is complete now apart from a minor section that was being upgraded near Stern Hut. We took 4 days to do it but i would recommend 5 days to avoid at least 1 long day. | |

It's still having bits built between Sth Branch of the Mokihinui & Rocky Tor which is on the Lyell side of Ghost Lake Hut. The unbuilt bits have a strong foot trail along the taped tramping routes now. Cruising along taking a few photos but with no other breaks I found the DOC max times were about double the time it took to walk each stretch. | |

Could the originator of this track DELETE IT. There is already another "OLD GHOST ROAD" entry, with our detailed track descriptions, and it's totally up-to-date, unlike this one. See this URL: http://tramper.co.nz/?8829 Sorry to be rude, but duplication will confuse the poor punters. |
