It's uphill all the way till you reach the ridge that takes you towards The Apprentice. Great view across to the Libretto Range to the south-east and Mt Technical just over Deer Valley, and the Freyburg Range to the north. First time under the stars, next to a tarn although I'm not sure which one. The memory of this experience has remained with me since and I'm keen to repeat it one day. Our friend Aarn Tait of Aarn Packs was testing one or two of his packs for this trip. |
