Highly recommended from the visitor centre not to do the lower track to Lake Dive, no maintenance has been done in a while and tree fall was very obstructive, took him 12hrs to so the 6hr track recently. | |

11 May 2013 | Favourite hut on the circuit. Maybe just coz it had goat-cullers living there - the fire was already lit & the conversation interesting. 2 bunkrooms, a huge lounge facing the mountain with the beast views of all the huts I visited. Woodburner managed to keep the whole large space warm - and wood provided (that's the 'serviced' part). Fewer visitors than the northern huts, and the tracks around are rougher - more like true tramping tracks than the platformed, gravelled, boardwalks of the northern side. | |
