16 Mar 2017 | Recently renovated by Permolat. Went in from the Totara Valley over Bald Hill and Fraser Peak. This is now viable access since Permolat members have done work on what were until recently abandoned tracks. | |

30 Oct 2015 | Fitted a memorial plaque for Rex Taylor in the hut. Rex was killed in a fall in this area while doing solo volunteer work and tramping three years earlier in Oct 2012. | |
