Didn't have good wx. Would like to do bits again on a cloudless day with little wind. Caught some nice glimpses of Lyttleton Harbour. Packhorse Hut and it's history was of interest. Also the remnants of Totara forest. | |

The back track behind Mt Bradley is now open and apparently DoC have cleared the gorse a bit along the track. The track through Montgomery Reserve has been worked on and an attractive series of steps been constructed. Previously it was extremely slippery as you came down to the road. | |

Easy grade but challenging as a lot of elevation gain and loss. Packhorse hut is rustic but a great place to stay for a night. Can get busy on the weekends. |
