Curious how a height gain of 750 metres on untracked terrain with a distance 5 km longer takes less time than a height gain of 600 metres on a gradually rising 4WD track with 5 km less distance. DoC says the farm track takes 4 hours to get to the hut. I've sent the cocky an email asking for permission to use the 4WD track. | |
