1 May 2014 | Great alternate route in from Makahu Saddle up Makahu Spur, along the tops, then down via North Ridge (takes about 3 1/2 hrs). Hut given some love by DOC early May 2014 and now in great condition. Nice camping spot down by the chopper pad. | |
