Worth noting that the road end marked on the map is NOT the last point you can leave your car / get picked up. It is about 2 - 2.5 km further on. In meant we had some very fast walking to do to get our shuttle (epic cycles) in time. | |

Massive podocarp trees - Rimu, Miro, Matai, Kahikatea. Waihaha section is very scenic walking alongside the river. | |
