Had a late start and didn't get to foot of mountain until noon, so decided to modify goal to be bushline instead of peak. Was expecting typical rough west coast climb, but this was a bit more. The track has been re-cut once after major tree fall, but a second storm has been through since. Many falls down the length of track and I finally called it shortly after 667 sub-peak when faced with multiple uncut treefalls. Add at least 30% to normal time for negotiation of falls and track finding to this point and no assurances that further on is passable. | |
