For Totaranui Great Walk campsite
Alert Prohibited fire season for Abel Tasman National Park

Due to the recent dry weather and the high risk of fire, a Total Fire Ban is now in place for Abel Tasman National Park. All fires are prohibited until further notice. This includes the closure of fire pits at Great Walk campsites and Totaranui Campsite. 

Smoking is permitted on beaches and bare ground at campsites only. Cookers can only be used in provided cooking shelters and on sandy ground or picnic tables.
