New Blue Lake warden

They're installing a warden hut at Blue Lake. Woo hoo !. About time.

It's a gem in Nelson Lakes National Park. Trampers travel to NZ with that as a destination in mind. It's on the "must see" lists of those tramping the area, and a thruway for TA trailers.

Not sure if that's going to change anything as the volunteer hut wardens are only at each hut for one night in the week that they walk the Travers Sabine circuit. Unless they will have someone up there on a longer term basis? It's a real bottle neck for the TA route over the pass, best experienced in a tent by the lake, leaving no trace.
