Overseas tramping forum?
should we have one setup on this forum?
Should we call it overseas trekking or hiking forum to not upset the staunch kiwi trampers amongst us haha.
That depends on whether it is being set up for overseas people to find out more about tramping/hiking in NZ.
Or whether it is being set up for local New Zealanders to discuss their overseas trips/tramps/hikes.
Perhaps it could be for visitors, non New Zealanders to discuss their trips/tramps/hikes whether they were done here or elsewhere.
There was one when these forums started up (after moving from the old website). No one used it.
If there were to be a new forum then I think something for accidents, incidents and safety, or something along those lines, would be worthwhile. There's a lot of talk about that and it normally just ends up in the General area.

Who cares if they dont see much use
There's already a "Visiting New Zealand" forum: https://tramper.nz/?view=forum&id=7 I'm not sure if that covers some people's concerns.
Happy to add these if you think they would be useful. Better to have fewer, busier forums than a bunch of empty ones. But I can certainly spin them up.
FWIW I know when I walk overseas, I certainly think I'm tramping!
