Family tents?
Not quite tramping, but does anyone have recommendations on family sized tents for car-based camping? Two or three rooms, to fit a family of 4 or 5, when the kids get bigger they will be kicked out into the tramping tents :-) Hoping not to spend the earth (I see Wilderness has one for $5000), but want something that will stay dry(ish) in a bit of rain, and last a number of years...

My duo240 came from them. Its now a $700 tent though. The current model uses double poles but mine saw 4 season use no problem. Certainly not a tent to carry very far though
Its designed to sleep 6 It does 4 in comfort and when the kids stopped coming with us 2 in luxury (queen size airbed in the bedroom furniture etc)
Kiwi Camping tents all the way. They are built for NZ conditions. I've seen way too many Kathmandu tents flattened by the wind.
Bare in mind you get what you pay for....
Thanks for the replies everyone. Lots to check out :-)
