Ohau to Makarora late Dec-16 or Jan-17
Hi trampers,
I'm looking for team mates to take on a 4/5-day route from Lake Ohau to Makarora, Otago Southern Alps. Across three ranges and two rivers. Mostly untracked but covered in Moir's Guide North. Some huts, some camping. Route planned and achievable. Aiming for week between Christmas and New Year 2016 but negotiable due to weather.
This is to complete my Duke of Edinburgh / Hillary Gold Award; I must have 'similar aged party members', so looking for people under 25. This is a challenging route; you'll have to be reasonably fit, experienced and equipped. Contact me and we can talk about what is involved.
