Backpack size ok, or get a new one?

Just thinking about the 2 backpacks I own, and I`m wondering, if any of them really fits the purpose of travelling and tramping for 30 days in NZ. The large one, a Deuter Air Contact Pro 60+15, is absolutely fine, when doing rail trips, the only hiking you do is from the train station to the campsite. It has lots of room for your stuff, but it weighs over 3kg, and it might be too big to take it on a hiking trip. The other one, which I used for the Fehmarn trip is an Osprey Exos 38, lightweight, but much smaller. It was absolutely fine for a 5 day hike, but I think it might be too small for my planned trip, as I would need more stuff and clothing for 30 days. For the Fehmarn trip I carried a set of undies, a lightweight trekking shorts and a lightweight trekking shirt, I was wearing the other set of clothing. I also carried a softshell jacket, an ultra lightweight rain jacket, 2 lightweight travel towels, a pair of flip-flops, shower gel, toothbrush and paste. And the camping equipment, tent, sleeping bag, little, foldable pillow. I did not carry the cooking equipment on that trip. Washing my clothes with shower gel is fine with me, but I think, I would need to take at least one more set, also the cooking stuff, a rain pants, trekking poles. So, I found these backpacks, which could be better: http://www.deuter.com/US/us/backpacking-trekking-/act-lite-50-plus-10-3340315-120.html http://www.ospreyeurope.com/gb_en/exos-48? But, I`m really unsure, they are bigger than the Exos 38, and lighter than the Deuter, but I already have 2 backpacks. What do you think? Which one would you take? I`ll set the links to the other 2 bags: https://www.trekkinn.com/outdoor-mountain/deuter-aircontact-pro-60-15/14337/p http://www.ospreyeurope.com/gb_en/exos-38?

I use mainstream ultralight gear, and still can get 3-4 days of food into I think a 46L pack, that includes my single person tent.
It depends on your gear of course, but the bigger sack, the more you'll find to put in it. Sure you could go with existing 60+15 sack, but I find lighter sack makes more more comfortable tramping. I think of the two you link to, the Deuter ACT 50+10 offers a decent comprise between you two current sacs, and ought to be ample big enough for said trip. I've slightly larger Osprey than the other link, the Atmos 50, and for me that's been large enough for a two week trip, including lightweight tent, though mostly using huts.
I personally use a 50L pack (weights 1kg), enough for 2 days to 30 days or more, as long as you can wash some stuff every week. But I can't give any advice regarding your needs: everyone is packing differently, so the best advice is do a list of your gear for 30 days, put everything together and try to fit all of that in both backpacks that you possess and you will see if you are closer to 38L (in which case a 50L pack might fit better), or closer to 60 (or more) and you need a larger pack… You should also try to see if the pack brand you want is saying the truth, I find that some brands have strange measurements, like a 60L North Face pack that is smaller than my 50L Quechua… My 26L pack is larger than the 30L Macpac, and so on.
If you're financially comfortable enough, then ditching the 3.2kg pack for a 1.730kg pack, that does the same job, looks a good idea. That's 1.47 kg of extra weight (dead weight) you're carrying every time you shoulder-up. That's more than 2 days worth of tramping food for me. If you can upgrade your gear to smaller, lighter, multi-purpose, you'll travel easier, for longer.
