Yak Wool Beanies and Neckwarmers
Hi guys I am starting an outdoor clothing brand that uses yak wool from the Tibetan Plateau. I have previously posted here, but a lot has changed since then including our name (Khullu -> Peak to Plateau). Now we have beanies and neckwarmers in stock on our website www.peaktoplateau.com Features: - 50% yak - 50% merino - 190 gsm fabric - Double layer fabric construction - Charcoal black So why yak wool? Yak wool is warmer, softer and more breathable than merino, and we sustainably source it from co-operatives that pay a fair price. I have been pretty blown away with how warm it has been, making trips to Mt Cook, Temple Basin and Tekapo and only needing one layer (190gsm) and a beanie/neckwarmer to keep me warm even with the freezing cold weather that we have had lately. The merino is there for strength and durability. If anyone is interested then use can use the discount code TRAMPERNZ on our website to get any 2 beanies or neckwarmers for $50. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. www.peaktoplateau.com Cheers Stefan
Owner seems up front and legit. +1 Remain (but yes, at Matthews discretion) No you don't want a thousand business spamming ads and never coming back, but surely we can give some space for local companies trying to let people know about unique new products.

OOPS, profuse apologies Khullu Shoulda looked :)
Hi Stefan - nice looking product. Do the beanies fit big heads (61cm)?
@EvoSmith "surely we can give some space for local companies trying to let people know about unique new products" Agreed!
I"m not against peak to plateau advertising , but it would give more credibility, if there was a physical address for the company on the website and it was listed as a company ti help differentiate from some companies that hide their details so they can rip people off with no comeback.
@hutchk The beanie should definitely fit a large head. The fabric has a good amount of natural stretch. I have tried it on people with 59cm heads and it fits easily and doesn't feel tight at all. There is plenty of room left.
they claim to be first to market but other companies have been using yak wool for over a year, one since at least 2013 http://www.outdoorsmagic.com/outdoors-news/jottnar-reveals-first-blended-yak-base-layer/13590.html http://www.outdoorsmagic.com/gear-news/new-yak-wool-base-layers-launched/11651.html
