Website updates, June 2016

A series of updates are on the way and will be delivered progressively.
1) the site is now full time HTTPS, in line with modern web standards. This means that information sent to and from the site is fully encrypted.
Still to come:
2) The Track Finder geolocation feature was disabled for HTTP in the latest Chrome browser. Now that the site is HTTPS, that feature is back.
3) Search has been rebuilt. The interface is new. You can also search your favourites or your contributions. This will be developed further in time.
4) Many bug fixes.
Bit weird but I don't see a login for chrome or Firefox on my PC but do have one on the mobile.
Also, the menu button doesn't work from PC.
Pic thumbnails aren't showing in articles and in profiles (maybe just needs time for creation?)
Sign-in and menu button now functional on PC (thanks, that was quick - assuming that was you, Matthew :)

Looks like another issue in Firefox47.0 On every page there is an options menu that looks like an advanced search menu near the top of the page Scrolling the page doesnt move this menu and you cant click through it making the forum fun to use.
Works fine in Chrome 51.027 though except its not showing as https
Delete your temp internet cache files

Had a bit of fun this afternoon just randomly entering terms and enjoying the much wider range of results.
Sorry about the caching issues. I dropped the ball on that.
Search, glad you like it...will get better in future :) I have a new foundation for it. I will add search nearby and things you have/have not done etc.
The cache thing did affect chrome as well. I use firefox at home and chrome at work. I hadnt used chrome here from home for a long time so it didnt show but did at work.
Not a major to reset then re log into all the sites that use "keep me logged in" At least this time I remembered all the passwords
