Members' location

What about something underneath each member's username showing their general location? To me it would help understand where people are coming from, so to speak, in a conversation.

"Location based on geolocation. This is very accurate," Just out of interest how does that work? Ive let google share my location and it has worked it out down to street address and this is on a desktop pc without wifi or cellular access. There are cellphones on the home network though. Possible not much help for the discussion but even so its got to be more than magic
When I say "is very accurate" I should say "can be very accurate." Basically your browser pulls out all its tricks. As this http://www.andygup.net/html5-geolocation-api-–-how-accurate-is-it-really/ states, "public IP address, cell tower IDs, GPS information, a list of Wifi access points, signal strengths and MAC IDs (Wifi and/or Bluetooth)." In your case I have no idea!
I had some issues, similar to what waynowski stated. I don't really think that it is that important to have your location shown to people. You could just get into a chat with anyone you like.
I'm fine with it if it's done on a voluntary basis. Those that are prepared to share their usual location could list it in their profile details. I think many posters already have an idea where the regulars are from.
