How to send internal messages?

Hi,
I'm new in the forum and was wondering how I can send internal messages to other members?
Sorry, if this might be an obvious question but I tried to send messages and it was not working out... So I was wondering if I made something wrong?

click on the head icon top right and mail, mail isnt enabled by default the person you're sending to has to enable it themselves in their profile
