Yoghurt powder

Has anyone tried using powdered yoghurt mix (Easiyo) without cultivating it overnight? I was planning on using it like milk powder with muesli.
No, I was thinking the same, but when I looked at the ingredients in the supermarket, it seemed to be just milk powder with bacterial culture in it. If you put it on your muesli it would be just the same as using milk powder, perhaps with a bit of a yoghurt taste. You'd have to experiment to see if the taste only developed after culturing or was there from the beginning, and if you like it. Price per weight was high compared to milk powder, so I just grabbed the milk powder. Might be some benefit from the bacteria and you could probably get it to culture overnight in in a bottle in your sleeping bag if you wanted yoghurt. Make sure the lid doesn't leak!
My partner uses this stuff in preference to milk powder as it mixes in perfectly i.e. smoothly. It also stays fresher than milk powder both in the cupboard and on trips he says. I just keep my milk powder in the freezer, myself.
