Web site issues

Hi everybody, My apologies for issues that have affected some users over the past week. I believe that these issues are currently worked around, so there should be no outstanding issues. Let me know if you encounter any. Here's what happened. I have been working on a new page-serving infrastructure for the past three months. This is a higher performance model that will also be easier to maintain. The model allows caching of entire pages, meaning that you get a faster site and the server doesn't have to work so hard. I have applied the new model only to item pages (tracks, articles, etc) at this stage. Unfortunately, there was one design element in these pages that is not cacheable. This is the logic around the display of edit buttons. I need to address this. In the interim, I turned caching off. Now, the new infrastructure allows this but the old one doesn't so that caused further issues. I have now turned caching back on but marked the item pages as non-cached. So everything should be working for now. I will be working through the issues as quickly as possible. Last week's deployment was obviously was not tested properly, and I apologise for that. Unfortunately my working time available is basically 9pm to 1am, 4 nights a week, so it's hard to get things done!
