Ruahines Exploration

Hi, I'm Kevin (51) an experienced Kiwi tramper. I have hiked and climbed extensively in NZ and offshore. I'm currently Wellington based and looking to do some low key easy-medium hut based North Island trips in April while I recover from a shoulder injury. As I'm off work I'm flexible wrt weekdays or weekends.
One possibility I'm looking at is to team up with others to do a 3-4 day exploration of the Ruahines. This will be an easy-medium trip (4-6h days) going in/out from the Taihape side via Rangiwahia Hut. There will be a mix of open tops and forested track travel.
Let me know if you are interested or if you have your own idea of what you would like to do :)
