Hi everybody,
Can you please let me know here if you are interested in beta testing the new internal messaging?
I say "new", but actually it's a feature I turned off some time back, and am in the process of redeploying. It's long overdue.

Hi @matthew. On the email notification thing, have you ever considered adding the ability for people to subscribe to activity on threads and other entities, like huts and tracks, which interest them?
Hi @izogi, yes. That will be integrated as part of internal messaging (phase 2).
has mail been taken off my account deliberately? It was there, now its gone ....
I have rolled out an update that should have fixed a few issues.
@Hugh vN internal mail looks to be enabled for your account. Are you still having an issue?
Everybody else, if you would like to use internal mail, you need to turn it on in your profile.
Er, I seem to still be logged in, but can no longer see the drop-down user menu, for mail and profile editing, in the top right at all (Firefox 36.0). Is this a bug?
The search box and all the other usual menus seem to be there, and if I go direct to a URL like http://tramper.co.nz/?view=mail then I can see my mailbox. It's just the menu that's missing.
[Edit: Never mind. a Ctrl-Shift-R fixed it.]
firefox 35.01 and cant even see if Im logged on. If this post comes from me I must be logged in
@geeves, did you try ctrl-shift-r to force a reload of the page and all of the other files it relies on?
Most likely issue is cached JavaScript. Press Ctrl + Shift + R .
I have a solution that will stop this issue happening in future changes, but it's not quite ready to roll out.
