North Island tramping and adventure

I will be leaving the northland in early March and traveling around the southern part of the north island primarily looking for walks that are 3 to 6 day walks but also stopping for shorter ones of interest. I am looking for someone who wishes to share the drive time gas and adventure. Tongariro is on the list. I am open to suggestions. It is possible to hop over to the top of the south island time permitting. I have already done the Heaghy twice but not the Karimea trek. I have a Jeep for the travels.
