Dual Threads

I see from time to time we get double ups of threads about the same hut or track. It would be good if posters could check that a thread on the topic they want to post about doesn't already exist. There is a merge function that combines threads but I'm reluctant to mess with other authors contributions and don't even know if only one of the original authors can merge threads? A recent example of two threads about the same thing that made me aware of this are the "Old Ghost Road" Track threads where we have two threads on the go where just one would be better!
