25 January-anyone driving out of Christchurch?

Hi all,
I am flying into CHC and want to go tramping for about 6 days--Arthur's Pass, Te Anau, Mt. Cook--ANYWHERE. I am an experienced tramper and have all my gear ready to go. Prefer to just walk out of the airport Sunday afternoon for an adventure, rather than have to bus it into CHC, stay at a hostel, wait till the next morning for a bus, etc.
I am also willing to rent a car to share expenses with a couple people who are ready to go tramping for about a week.
I have to be back in Christchurch on 31 January.

If you are arriving in ChCh before about 1.00pm you could go into town and catch this bus which leaves at 2.15pm which goes to Wesport via Lewis Pass which has lots of tramping tracks. The bus may even go via the airport but you will need to check.

Thanks for the info Mr. Finch! I just decided to rent a car, so if anyone is looking to go for a short 5-day tramp, contact me. I will be driving out of Christchurch Sunday afternoon around 4 pm.
