Where abouts are you? If you didn't get a trip, I will probably be looking at a couple of days at Tongariro or preferably around Egmont week of 15-19 Dec. Just a few huts, no serious climbing unless your up for that. Cheers . Dazza
Hi Dazza, I am in South Island. Probably I wont have enough time to go to up the north.
Hey no worries. Should have clicked when I didn't recognise the hut name.Went early anyway and did a Southern Crossing in the Tararuas. Weather was crud, no views due to rain, and had gale winds and pretty cold temps for summer. But good fun and a pretty decent workout. If you get up to the north (I know it doesn't really compare with down there) and are looking for a trip, drop me a message. Cheers. Dazza
fair call. grew up with the 'rua's and was actually in the tongue n meats back in the early 70's so they are my home hills, that's why I keep coming back ,but having done some of the sth island, it can be a different world down there. but hey, any hills a good one.cheers
