Just to say that I have moved from Nelson to Canterbury, living in Hororata.

Hi Justin .I,m at Brighton Beach and want to tramp in the Arthur's pass area next spring and summer.Thinking of going to Carrington Hut then up to barkers Hut or over the Waimai. Col. You interested?

Even a trip up to Carrington hut is interesting, youll meet a lot of climber types up that way, they tend to have hair raising tales to tell.
Waimakiriri Col is quite spectacular, it is just about as alpine you can get without needing climbing skills.
Sounds good keep in touch if you go out, I need to do more! But do have a busy summer of work ahead, but will try to make some time
Barker Hut is a great trip. I went in there last year. I was expecting it to be much harder than it was. Quite exposed to weather though.
