i just joined today are there any others in the wellington area on this forum ??
heya, Im new on here. Im in Wellington. Bit of a city chick, whos got no idea about tramping and camping, but would like to get into it. My friends arnt into this scene, so looking for people who are!

Im Wellington as well. Based in Newlands. Really recommend joining a club especially if you havnt tramped before. There are several good clubs in Wellington. Let us know what suburb you are in and we will recommend one or a Google search on Wellington tramping clubs will give lots of info.
Clubs can help with gear and the required skills and give you pre organized trips with others who know what they are doing. Meet a new set of friends

I'm Wellington based too. I second Geeves' suggestion about checking out some of the Wellington tramping clubs. Each club has a unique culture so I'm sure you'll find one you'll like.
