NZ Topographic Maps available in iPhone app

This week Topo GPS New Zealand was released. An iPhone navigation app based on the LINZ topographic 1:50k maps of New Zealand. The app including the complete! map costs you only NZD 5,99, a fraction of the costs of a standalone GPS device.
With Topo GPS you can import, plan, record and share your routes and show them on the map. Ideal for hiking.

All of what has been described has been on offer from View Ranger for some time. Has anyone compared the two products?
Topo GPS is much cheaper than ViewRanger. Whereas ViewRanger asks around NZD 45 for New Zealand 1:50k completely, you get it for only $5,99 with Topo GPS with no hidden extra costs.
In addition Topo GPS contains a route planner, easy organization of routes and waypoints into folders, and convienient download into cache functionality.

Would appreciate knowing when ALL of the manual will be translated into English. Have purchased and appears to be good product but some important details not translated yet. A premature launch perhaps?
