Hunua Ranges Overnight Track
Hi there first time posting. I use to all ways go tramping down masterton way, now like 10 years later i am up in auckland and want to get back into tramping as i use to love it... i am 21 and wanting to take my girl friend out for a over night tramp, sleep in tent etc for valintines day. but i dont know any track etc. i was thinking hunua ranges as that is close. never been there before though. Can anyone give me information on a over night track pretty easy fitness and is just nice. I need information so i wont get lost doing it to please..

There are camping spots in the Waitakeres, as well as Hunuas, info at ARC website for both parks.

Its not an easy to use site, but if you drill far enough you will find camping and track info. You can also get a parks map for both ranges from Paper Plus or other book stores.
