North Island tramping - end of march '09
i'm planning on leaving Auckland and doing the LAKE WAIKAREMOANA TRACK and then driving onto the WHANGAUNI RIVER JOURNEY straight afterwards. i'll drive to and from Auckland (if required) for the price of half the petrol. My wife can't get the time off work, but i want to do these in March. Any takers? Would enjoy the opportunity to go with someone who's on holiday or a local - all the same to me (i'm from the UK myself. Been out here 2 years).
i'm not the fittest/fastest tramper in the world - i'm not going to rush around and make it in a gung-ho fashion, but want to take in the scenery and stop and smell the mustard.

I shal be arriving in Auckland from the UK about the middle of march and would be interested in joining up with you for the Lake Waikaremoana track and perhaps the Whangauni as well. After that I shall be meeting up with another Kiwi.
