To make your brand new Garmin etrex Legend HCx with factory settings compatable with NZTOPO 50. Step 1. Turn GPS on. Step 2. Press Exit button till Main Menu page appears. Step 3. Scroll to Setup. Press Enter. Step 4. Scroll to Units. Press Enter. Step 5. Scroll to Position Format. Press Enter. Step 6. Scroll to New Zealand TM. Press Enter. Step 7. Press Exit button. Turn GPS off. When you restart your GPS should now be compatable with the NZTOPO 50 maps. Any previously saved Waypoints will be converted automatically.
