Is anybody interested in sharing video here? I figure the best way to do it would be simply to upload videos to YouTube then link them here. The advantage of linking them here is that they could then appear in search results and linked up to track listings, profiles, and so forth. This would be straightforward to implement if there is demand. Let me know!
I know one guy who videos his trips. he has some awesome footage but the trouble with his is that he carries a great big box of gear and spends a lot of time setting up shots etc. Then he does a lot of editing at home. I don't think I could be bothered with that myself.
I have taken the odd movie with my still camera of people around the campfire, at the summit etc. Nothing worth posting though.
My guess that interest would be limited. But I challenge someone to prove me wrong.
Yes I thought that too -- limited appeal. But someone else mentioned it to me, and I thought it might be useful in some cases, for example if you are new to tramping it might give you a better sense of the environment.
I went and did a search on "Tramping" in Utube and sure enough there was some stuff there that looked interesting.
