Williams Saddle

Has anyone ever made the trip from Edwards Hut over Williams Saddle and into the Mingha valley? The topo maps don't give any detail that would suggest it's a hassle, but I have a suspicion it's quite a bushwack down to the river bed. Is it relatively straightforward or a right pain? Thanks!
I've been meaning to try that. The route is mentioned in Brabyn and Bryant's guidebook. They mention sidling 1km south before descending into the Mingha to avoid bluffs. Forest regeneration makes progress slow. They indicate 3-4 hours from the saddle down to the Bealey. Sounds interesting....
Access from the hut to the Edwards River is straightforward. Then you travel up a small creek bed and at some point leave this to head to the saddle. I recall you need to make a good route decision to avoid steeper terrain but it's not exposed. I endorse the guidebook's recommendation. We used to descend via a scree but that has become boney and very unpleasant and the forest on the true right of it is good.
